It’s National Athletic Training month! National athletic training month happens in March of each year and is intended to recognize the contributions of trainers to the care of athletes.

Athletic Training encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment of acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions.  Athletic Trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who render treatment, under the direction of or in collaboration with a physician.  NOMS employs Athletic Trainers for 6 local area high schools.  These Athletic Trainers provide health care to student athletes and are a critical link to parents, coaches, teachers and administrators.  They are in a unique position to build trust and relationships within school systems and the community.  The Athletic Trainers’ special skill set and expertise makes them a vital component of the NOMS’ health care team.

NOMS athletic trainers work with student athletes at many local schools – Here are a list of our contracted high schools and their respective ATs:

Huron High School – Bill Kovach M.Ed., AT, ATC
Sandusky Central Catholic – Tim Pudloski MS, AT, ATC, CSCS
Port Clinton High School –
Clyde High School – Allyson Hoops MAT, ATC
Danbury High School – Lauren Redfern, MS, AT, ATC
