Obstetrics and Gynecology
Delivering exceptional healthcare for all stages of a woman's life.
NOMS OB/GYN, a division of Northern Ohio Medical Specialists, has offered quality care to the women of Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa and Sandusky counties for the past 20 years. NOMS OB/GYN physicians provide state-of-the-art quality care to women of all ages and stages of life.
Our practice offers the full spectrum of healthcare needed by today’s women. The physicians, mid-wife and three nurse practitioners provide routine gynecological services and preventative healthcare for the maintenance of health. Family planning, contraception, menstrual irregularities, hormonal issues, STD and cancer screenings are just a few of the common concerns that we address.
Board certified physicians offer the care needed to women facing more complicated health issues. Pelvic surgery to address pain, endometriosis, bleeding problems, urinary incontinence and pelvic relaxation are common procedures that we perform. Many of these problems can be addressed with minimally invasive outpatient surgery.
Patient convenience is a priority for the physicians and the staff. We offer in-office procedures for the management of abnormal uterine bleeding, abnormal pap smears and sterilization.
Complete obstetrics services are provided by our physicians and certified nurse mid-wife.
Our obstetric services include infertility evaluation and treatment, prenatal diagnosis with 3-D ultrasound and genetic counseling. We screen for and treat the risk factors associated with premature birth. The majority of patients with diabetes and/or hypertension in pregnancy can be cared for locally.
The Birthing Center at Firelands Regional Medical Center offers a relaxing atmosphere for childbirth. Twenty-four hour in-hospital anesthesia is one of the options available for pain management. This service also provides the utmost in safety for childbirth. Our physicians are the only providers of VBAC, vaginal birth after caesarean section, in the five-county area.
